Does she appear in a national myth?

Hmm... maybe, depending how you define a national myth.

Is this potentially national myth associated with a country where a Germanic language is the official or majority language?

Also, with relation to the previous question, what were you expecting us to remember about Mansa Musa, if anything, apart from his being reputed to have been the richest person ever? The pilgrimage to Mecca?

The pilgrimage to Mecca? Yes—the pilgrimage made famous by the lavish display of his wealth that he made during the journey. He's also (maybe to a lesser extent) known for building a few mosques and the like, including (at least part of) a fairly famous mosque in Timbuktu. And, well, also for just being an emperor of Mali.

Please, not Belgium. I don't know any potentially mythical Belgians. But is it?

I rather like the anecdote about Mansa Musa prostrating himself before the sultan in Cairo. Though of course we don't know if it's true. The version I've heard goes like this:
On his journey to Mecca, Mansa Musa stopped in Cairo and wished to meet the sultan. Protocol required that anyone meeting the sultan should prostrate himself before him. Mansa Musa, however, wanted to bow to no man, so what he did was that when he came into the sultan's presence, he said "I bow before Allah, my creator", and prostrated himself, technically before the sultan, but really before God.
