"Motivated" lacks the sense of awe. "Daunted" is probably too negative, implying that while you may wish to do well, you're kind of paralysed and likely to fail. Also, I think you're looking for a word that would stand on its own without qualification, yes? "Daunted" would usually have some qualification like "by the prospect/task".

This could be a game. You give some kind of definition and others have to guess the word. But it would work best if you were sure the word existed and you actually had the word in mind.

I think you're looking for a word that would stand on its own without qualification, yes? I asked myself that question earlier... I think so, yes, but maybe one that needs to be qualified would do the job too! And "daunted" is pretty good! Not exactly what I had in mind, but considering that the word I'm looking for might not exist, this might be as good as it gets.

Feel free to post one if you have a good idea! It could be a very fun game. It reminds me of a game I've heard about where people describe a movie they've seen in an intentionally confusing way. Since people here don't seem overly interesting in cinema I won't create a thread for it, but here's an example I've just come up with: A retiring zoo manager is having a party and everything goes wrong! {Spoiler}Jurassic Park

As always, I failed to finish my thought: I was wondering if the Definition Game could feature intentionally confusing definitions or not. Maybe the game would be too easy if not.

I was wondering too. Maybe the definitions should ideally be just a little more vague or confusing than your standard dictionary definition but not be downright riddles either. I guess we'd ultimately leave it up to each puzzle setter.
