It's so easy to typo "it" for "is", "is" for "it", or either of those for "in", or vice versa.

you can take it either way. It's a matter of perspective; the result is the same I think you're being a bit generous here. I mean, technically you're correct, but it seems perverse to take it the second way. It reminds me of the discussion with callaina on FB about the time signature of 'Piano Man'.

Maybe you thought it was a Gallicism? I did notice a lot of Francophones tended to phrase their English questions like they would in (casual) French. It reminds me of the discussion with callaina on FB about the time signature of 'Piano Man'. I've missed a discussion on time signatures??

Back to the game: I've tried "astay", but I don't think I tried "stay", so let it be my guess, assuming there's some more variation...

The word scans regularly.

Probably too general.

It's so easy to typo "it" for "is", "is" for "it", or either of those for "in", or vice versa. You can throw "if" into the mix.

That's much less close than earlier guesses.

I guess typing "if it is in" can be a challenge.

away
Maybe it exists as a verb, or maybe "bid someone away" works...

Maybe you thought it was a Gallicism? No, just a typo. I've missed a discussion on time signatures?? It was on FB. What do you think the signature of 'Piano Man' should be? Callaina seems to think it doesn't matter, but it seems clearly 3/4 to me, as it does to most of the internet, although there is a 6/8 faction. At the time I thought the sheet music claimed it was 4/4. I was wrong, but surely a perverse person could argue the point?

away Maybe it exists as a verb, or maybe "bid someone away" works... The latter works, but it conveys rather the opposite idea to the right word (which is a verb). The spirit bids the glacier not to move on yet.

Though in this context it would probably be awkward (because the first part uses a verb).

I'm reluctant to give the first letter because that coupled with the rhyme would probably make it too easy.
