'Bezoar' comes from Persian.

I didn't even know that word. The semantic shift seems strange.

I didn't even know that word. The semantic shift seems strange. Sounds like you failed your potions OWL.

My impression was that she had, but I don't know what this impression is based on. I know this is a grave accusation. Let the accused make her case, and keep in mind that one is innocent until proven guilty.

I read four of the books and watched one of the movies an eternity ago (when I was 11-13 years old).

And it was all in French translation.

French paresse comes from Latin pigritia.

And it was all in French translation. In my case too, although I read the first one in Portuguese also, and I feel like I've read one of the books or part of it in English.

I have never read a Harry Potter book, but I seem to have absorbed things from them.

Weeaboo and sedevacantist. In the same story.

I had heard about the latter but forgot.

Possibly the same here. It rang a vague bell.

What kind of story did you find both of those words in, by the way?

I've actually wondered a few times if Terry was a sedevacantist, but my knowledge of Catholicism isn't good enough to have an informed opinion on that. I mean, simplistically speaking, if you're a Catholic and criticize the Pope and his views on religion, it seems to me you aren't far from saying he's not really the Pope.
