What do people say instead of Flemings? People who live in Flanders and speak Flemish. Personally, I call them Phlegms, which is a bit unfair, as the Dutch of the Netherlands is much more guttural than the language of Belgium, whatever you call it. Robert Benchley said that two things kept him up at night -- trying to remember the word for people who live in Flanders and speak Flemish, and the present tense of 'wrought'. It's the equivalent of asking German speakers what the present tense is of '(aus)(er)koren', which you mention on another thread. I just looked up that it comes from work.

I just looked up that it comes from work. I had actually learned that only a couple day ago. A tweet from a linguist I think.

I just looked up that it comes from work. Sure, but you had to look it up, the way most native speakers would. Similarly, the average German isn't aware of kiesen and its compounds in the present tense.

Do the old ET threads still exist?

Well, one of them at least, if your plural is significant. That's the one that was in use when you guys got banned.

Ah. I don't think so, then, unless I'm mixing things up.

Is there a specific post you think was on that thread, and that wouldn't have been deleted?

FWIW, the one that remains is the one with your stupid manifesto.

It seems odd that they should keep them and junk the politics threads, and even odder that they should get rid of one and not the other, but then they can be careless about these things. After all, on my Strange Things thread in an open forum, Godmy still has a cactus up his fundament.

FWIW, the one that remains is the one with your stupid manifesto. It's not written by me. But I meant the other one.

I see the concept of intellectual property and the need to credit things in the most unambiguous terms possible, is important to you.

Maybe Godmy trashed it in a fit of pique. After all, he was the one who restored it after Cinefactus dropped it, largely because I kept banging on about it being part of our history on the forum. And then forgot or never noticed that there was a successor thread, because it wasn't his sort of thread.

That explains some things.
