I have a friend who’s an artist and has sometimes ____ a view which I don’t agree with very well. He’ll hold up a flower and say “look how beautiful it is,” and I’ll agree. Then he says “I as an artist can see how beautiful this is but you as a scientist take this all apart and it becomes a dull thing,” and I think that he’s kind of stupid/ridiculous/mad/crazy. First of all, the beauty that he sees is ____ to other people and to me too, I believe. Although I may not be quite as driven aesthetically as he is… I can appreciate the beauty of a flower. At the same time, I see much more about the flower than he sees. I could imagine the cells in there, the complicated actions inside, which also have a beauty. I mean it’s not just beauty at this dimension, at one centimeter; there’s also beauty at smaller dimensions, the inner structure, also the processes. The fact that the beauty in the flower evolved in order to attract insects to pollinate it is interesting; it means that insects can see the ____. It adds a question: does this aesthetic sense also exist in the lower orders? Why is it aesthetic? All kinds of interesting questions which the science side only adds to the excitement, the mystery and the awe of a flower. It only adds. I don’t understand how it subtracts.

the beauty that he sees is ____"Apparent" may have been your best guess, but it's more general and not exactly parallel.

Then he says “I as an artist can see how beautiful this is but you as a scientist take this all apart and it becomes a dull thing,” and I think that he’s kind of insane. First of all, the beauty that he sees is real to other people and to me too, I believe. Although I may not be quite as gifted aesthetically as he is… I can appreciate the beauty of a flower. At the same time, I see much more about the flower than he sees. I could imagine the cells in there, the complicated actions inside, which also have a beauty. has sometimes ____ a viewSimple word. Maybe not the simplest you could think of, but close enough. Not that this sounds particularly weird, but the right word would be more expected. it means that insects can see the ____Not just flower, but its ____.

I have a friend who’s an artist and has sometimes stated a view which I don’t agree with very well. He’ll hold up a flower and say “look how beautiful it is,” and I’ll agree. Then he says “I as an artist can see how beautiful this is but you as a scientist take this all apart and it becomes a dull thing,” and I think that he’s kind of nuts. First of all, the beauty that he sees is accessible to other people and to me too, I believe. Although I may not be quite as ____ aesthetically as he is… I can appreciate the beauty of a flower. At the same time, I see much more about the flower than he sees. I could imagine the cells in there, the complicated actions inside, which also have a beauty. I mean it’s not just beauty at this dimension, at one centimeter; there’s also beauty at smaller dimensions, the inner structure, also the processes. The fact that the beauty in the flower evolved in order to attract insects to pollinate it is interesting; it means that insects can see the prettiness. It adds a question: does this aesthetic sense also exist in the lower ____? Why is it aesthetic? All kinds of interesting questions which the science really only adds to the excitement, the mystery and the awe of a flower. It only adds. I don’t understand how it subtracts.

I think this is often implied when you say that some ____ a view, but not necessarily so. Almost. "Developed" was your best guess. Right general track. "Orders" was your best guess. "Mind" was at least on the right general track.

Hm, maybe try to combine them with "prettiness". More than that.

By the way, I'm still trying to find tricks that would make it easier to play this game here. One very interesting thing I've noticed is that if you copy-paste a post, the formatting isn't preserved as we know, but if you paste it into another forum's editor, it does preserve the formatting. So it's not only a question of BBCode, but also of the meta-data associated with a text you copy that are preserved. The information is still there, but somehow Proboards discards it.

Oops, "The fact that the beauty" wasn't correct. It's the same word as the next unfilled blank, only in the plural. I have a friend who’s an artist and has sometimes t____ a view which I don’t agree with very well. He’ll hold up a flower and say “look how beautiful it is,” and I’ll agree. Then he says “I as an artist can see how beautiful this is but you as a scientist take this all apart and it becomes a dull thing,” and I think that he’s kind of nutty. First of all, the beauty that he sees is available to other people and to me too, I believe. Although I may not be quite as refined aesthetically as he is… I can appreciate the beauty of a flower. I mean it’s not just beauty at this dimension, at one centimeter; there’s also beauty at smaller dimensions, the inner structure, also the processes. The fact that the ____ (two syllables) in the flower evolved in order to attract insects to pollinate it is interesting; it means that insects can see the ____. It adds a question: does this aesthetic sense also exist in the lower ____? Why is it aesthetic? All kinds of interesting questions which the science ____ (spoiling first letter) only adds to the excitement, the mystery and the awe of a flower. It only adds. I don’t understand how it subtracts.
